Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are among our most valuable assets. Without volunteers, we couldn't touch the lives of the women.

Front Desk Receptionist - Be the friendly, helpful voice on thevolunteer opportunities at the womens center other end of our phones. Greet visitors, provide information and referrals, and assist with other office support functions as needed.
For more information please contact @ 201.568.1166

Workshop Presenter - Share your expertise with others. Facilitate day or evenings workshops on educational and informative topics relevant to women and families - health and wellness, self-development, education, legal issues, housing, career advancement, etc.

Lunch and Learn-Speaker - Can you spare an hour during your busy business day? Employers, human resource professionals, administrative personnel and others needed to help prepare our Office Technology students for success in the business world. No experience required, just a willingness to share what you know from your own life and career that will educate, motivate or inspire.
For more information please contact @ 201.568.1166

Tutors - Help our ESL and Citizenship students practice their English speaking and listening skills through one-on-one conversation and other fun activities. Tutors also needed in math and grammar for our job-training students.

Career Closet Organizers - Use your flair for fashion to help sort, organize and arrange the assortment of women's business clothing and accessories donated weekly for our job-seeking clients.

Shared-Housing Provider - The Shared Housing Project utilizes existing housing to provide affordable housing options for single parents and others to whom the traditional housing market is out of reach. Shared Housing would not exist without Providers. Shared living can be fun, enriching, and a very economical way to live, so if you or anyone you know is willing to set out the welcome mat and become a Provider for Shared Housing please contact
@ 201.568.1166.

Trades Contractor Services - The volunteer services of building contractors, electricians, plumbers, roofers, and handy-people are needed to offset the cost of maintenance and repair of our facility. Visit our photo gallery to see how Rebuilding Together, Bergen County recently brought volunteers and the community together to improve our building."
