Mentoring Moms - An Informational Session

Learn about this Bergen Volunteer Center program which trains and supervises volunteers to serve as mentors to mothers working hard to provide a safe, stable home for their families.

Mentors are:

  • caring women who understand how hard it is to raise a family and want to make life a bit easier for another mom.

  • matched with mothers referred through local child protective services or other community agencies. Mentors commit to ongoing bi-weekly contacts for 12 months. Once matched, mentors help the mom establish short and longer term goals.
