Women’s Rights Information Center (WRIC) is a place of support and empowerment for survivors of human trafficking.

Human Trafficking is a grave violation of human rights, and we are here to help those subjected to trafficking to overcome the mental, physical, emotional, and financial burdens that may have resulted from this crime. Our dedicated program provides a range of free services including case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, legal support, counseling, advocacy, and referrals. We understand the complexities of one’s experience and are committed to offering victim-centered, trauma-informed care tailored to individual needs.

If you believe that you are the victim of human trafficking, it’s important to know that you are not alone, and WRIC is here to guide you towards a path of healing and restoration. Our focus is on what is best for you, and you are not obligated to involve law enforcement if you prefer not to. Regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender, or legal status in the United States (US citizen or foreign national), we are here to help. Victims of trafficking do not and cannot choose to give away their basic human rights and liberties, protected by law.

If you would like to learn more about human trafficking, would like training on the topic of human trafficking, or would like to volunteer, please contact us at 201-568-1166 or email our Human Trafficking Program Coordinator at mkopp@womensrights.org. If you or someone you know is being forced to stay in a job, working without pay, or experiencing control over personal documents, we encourage you to contact us for information and assistance.

Women’s Rights Information Center is also dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking. We offer training sessions for diverse groups such as law enforcement, medical personnel, schools, and faith-based organizations, equipping them to recognize indicators of potential trafficking situations and be aware of vital resources for those affected by trafficking.

We are a federally funded program, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime.
