CAREER SERVICES:  EMPOWERING WORKFORCE SUCCESS

We are committed to equipping individuals with the tools and skills they need to secure meaningful employment, and economic independence.  Our Career Services program offers a comprehensive range of workforce readiness programs tailored to meet the needs of job seekers at every stage of their professional journey.

Services Include:

  • Job Search Counseling and Employment Assistance: Personalized support for navigating the job market, and securing employment.

  • Interview Coaching and Resume Development: Strategies to present yourself confidently during interviews and create professional, compelling resumes that highlight your strengths.

  • Career Closet:  Free, up to date women’s clothing to enter the workforce with style and confidence.

  • Skills Development:  Strengthen workplace and interpersonal skills.  Explore business opportunities through entrepreneurship seminars, gaining foundational knowledge to start your own venture.

  • Financial Literacy: Learn to manage personal finances confidently through workshops on budgeting, saving, credit building, and debt management - critical skills for long-term economic independence.

  • Technology Empowerment Program: Gain essential digital skills, from basic computer usage to advanced Microsoft Office training, digital communication, and internet proficiency. As a Microsoft Training Center and Bergen County Job Center partner, WRIC helps people bridge the digital divide, improve employment opportunities, and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Classes are taught by experienced instructors, and are offered both in-person and online. 

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship Classes: Improve language skills and prepare for U.S. citizenship.

  • Case Management and Support Services: Comprehensive guidance and resources to overcome barriers to employment.

For displaced homemakers, unemployed individuals, or those transitioning from government assistance to self-sufficiency, WRIC provides referrals to funded training and certification programs, including apprenticeship opportunities through Bergen Community College.
